Interests/Why did you join this lab? I joined this lab because I was really interested in the communities Dr. Wright’s research was focused on, and I wanted to learn more about how a research project is begun.

Favorite part about living in Eugene or Oregon? My favorite part about living in Oregon is being able to see so much green around me and going to the coast whenever I want. My favorite part about Eugene would probably be the BaoBao House restaurant or Dave’s Fried Chicken.

What is one activity you are involved in professionally or for fun? My friends and I do board game nights pretty often with lots of games and we attempt to play different versions of monopoly every time too.

Interests/Why did you join this lab? I am interested in being a counselor and offering services in Spanish and I felt that this lab was a great introduction to the work that I want to do.

Favorite part about living in Eugene or Oregon? The amount of nature and how kind the people here are. I also like that it’s driving distance from the coast, Portland, and Bend.

What is one activity you are involved in professionally or for fun? I am an Evans Scholar, which is a full-ride scholarship for golf caddies.

Interests/Why did you join this lab? I was really interested in the lab’s mission of prioritizing the support of minoritized communities. I also really wanted to leave an impact on the Eugene community, while helping with the furtherment of Dr. Wright’s work.

Favorite part about living in Eugene or Oregon? My favorite part about living in Eugene is being around a community of Ducks fans and a lot of school spirit.

What is one activity you are involved in professionally or for fun? I’m a member of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated, which upholds the principles of brotherhood, community service, cultural awareness, and scholarship.
