Interests/Why did you join this lab? I am very much interested in mental health (MH) equity, Latinx MH, and implementation science research. More specifically, I am interested in risk/protective factors associated with MH concerns among Latinx individuals, understanding Latinx family variables that promote uptake and adherence to MH interventions, and increasing accessibility and effectiveness of MH services through digital and idiographic approaches for underserved Latinx youth and their families.
What is one activity you are involved in professionally or for fun? I really enjoy hiking, running, going to concerts, and recently have been learning how to snowboard.

Interests/Why did you join this lab? I am interested in improving access to culturally responsive mental health services for Latine youth and families, particularly through caregiver engagement and implementation science. I joined the DIMENSION Group because its emphasis on community-partnered research aligns with my goal of centering families’ and communities’ experiences in research and practice.
What is one activity you are involved in professionally or for fun? For fun, I love camping and exploring new places with my family, but I’m equally happy at home watching reality TV or a good novela!

Primary Advisor: Geovanna Rodriguez, PhD (UO) Hometown: El Monte, CA
Expected Graduation Year: 2029
Why did you join this lab? Forming a part of the DIMENSION Group has been rewarding because I’m interested in the implementation of evidence-based practices for Latine youth and their families. Through this work, we’re able to incorporate community voices and lead with equity when it comes to addressing barriers and leveraging facilitators to promote service uptake. I’m interested in continuing to increase the accessibility and feasibility of EBPs for historically underserved families.
Favorite part about living in Eugene or Oregon? Living in Eugene has been allowed me to embrace a slower pace and appreciate nature (as much as I can as a grad student). It’s been nice to see the community that shows out for events or for UofO sports. My favorite days have been those filled with sunshine, outdoor markets, food trucks, and embracing the indoor/outdoor businesses with friends throughout town.
